All 48 states · 24/7 dispatch

Over the road, coast to coast.

Long haul is where a carrier's communication either holds up or falls apart. A truck can be two thousand miles from both ends of the trip for two straight days. Ours does not go quiet while it is out there.

What changes on a long run

On a short haul, almost nothing has time to go wrong. On a coast to coast run there is weather across three climate zones, mountain grades, chain laws in winter, construction closures and hours of service limits that reset on their own schedule.

None of that is unusual and none of it is an excuse. It just means the plan has to be realistic before the truck leaves, and you have to actually hear about it when the plan changes. A carrier who quotes an impossible transit to win the load has already decided you are going to find out the hard way.

How we run the long stuff

  • All 48 continental states. Coast to coast, border to border.
  • One dispatcher for the whole trip. You are not re-explaining the load to a night shift that has never heard of it.
  • Transit times quoted against the real rules. Federal hours of service limits are not negotiable, so we plan around them instead of pretending.
  • Updates without you asking. Loaded, rolling, delayed, delivered.

Michigan is a good place to run out of

Ypsilanti sits on I-94, which is the direct line west toward Chicago and everything past it. US-23 runs south to I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike, which is the gateway to the Southeast and the East Coast. That means outbound freight from southeast Michigan is on a major corridor within minutes of pickup instead of an hour of surface roads.

It also means backhauls into the region are easy to plan, which is quietly one of the reasons rates out of here stay reasonable.

OTR Long Haul questions.

How long does Michigan to the West Coast take?
It depends on the exact points, whether it runs solo or team, and what the weather is doing in the mountains. Call dispatch with your pickup and delivery cities and you will get a real transit rather than an optimistic one.
Do you run team drivers?
Tell dispatch what your deadline is and we will tell you honestly what it takes to hit it and whether we can put that together for your date.
Do you go into Canada or Mexico?
We run the 48 continental states. If your freight crosses a border, say so up front and we will tell you exactly what portion of the move we can handle.
